Viber launches Viber Out, allows users to make cheap calls to landline and mobile phones

Viber, the popular cross-platform VoIP app has just rolled out its Viber Out feature to iOS, which allows users to make calls to landline and mobile phones.

Viber Out is direct competition to Skype’s Skye Out, which has been offering a similar service for quite a long time. Viber has also published a price chart which compares its rates with Skype Out.

As you can see, they’re significantly cheaper that Skype. However, it must be noted that Skype is significantly cheaper if you opt for their subscription service.

The Viber Out feature seems to have been enabled via over-the-air update as I was able to buy Viber Out credit (tap on the More tab, followed by Viber Out) in Viber 4.0.

Did you use the Viber Out feature? How was the voice quality? Let me know in the comments below.
