Vertex: Upcoming Jailbreak tweak to bring the awesome iOS 8 Mission Control Concept to life

ios8-missioncontrol-small

Few days back, we covered an iOS 8 concept, which imagined how the multitasking switcher and Control Center could be merged, with a simple swipe up from bottom gesture to access it.

If you’re like me who really liked the concept then I’ve some good news for you.

Couple of Cydia developers have announced on reddit that they are working on a jailbreak tweak called Vertex that will bring the concept to life.

Here’s the designer’s description of the concept:

- Flicking up from the bottom of the edge allows the multitasking app views to be tied directly to the gesture, which allows for direct manipulation and avoids having to wait for a passive animation to complete before interacting with them.

- The obvious potential drawback to this combined approach is that there is less room available for Control Center- I personally find that I use a couple features of Control Center, but almost never touch at least half of them (calculator, clock, airplane mode, bluetooth). I can’t be sure, but I suspect this is true for a large amount of other users as well, so my solution is to have 5 button ‘slots’ that can be customized with the 5 most used shortcut functions for that particular user.

Here’s a video demo of the concept:

Cydia developers have mentioned that they plan to tweak the design to give it a more iOS 7 look.

Vertex merges the Control Center and App Switcher, but we added a nice little iOS 7 touch to it, your wallpaper will be blurred in the background of the switcher, also we used smooth animations to make it fit even more with iOS 7. And at last, we used the stock icons, to make it look flat but gorgeous.

You can check out the demo of Vertex in action below:

If you want to beta test the tweak then you can contact developers on twitter @tmnlsthrn & @ianb821 or you can send us an email at vertex@tmno.co.

They haven’t mentioned when it will be released and how much it will cost assuming they do decide to charge for it. I can’t wait for it to hit Cydia. As always, we’ll let you know as soon as there are any further updates, so stay tuned here at iPhone Hacks or join our Facebook Fan page, follow us on Twitter, add us to your circles on Google+ or subscribe to our RSS feed.

Cylinder: A promising alternative to Barrel [Jailbreak Tweak]

One of my favorite jailbreak tweaks of all-time is Barrel, it’s one of the first jailbreak tweaks that I install after jailbreaking my iPhone.

In case you’re not aware, Barrel was released back in 2010, and brought 3D-cube effect to the iPhone while swiping through Home screen pages. Since then the developer has been adding new animations to keep it fresh.

There is a new jailbreak tweak called Cylinder that aims to give the $3.99 Barrel a run for its money. Developer Reed Weichler says that the reason for making Cylinder was because he wanted to add more effects, and he didn’t like Barrel’s cube effect.

At the moment, Cylinder is in beta, so the number of animations are quite limited, however the 3D-cube effect is better than Barrel’s 3D cube effect. It has a more noticeable 3D-effect.

cylinder

3D cube (Inside)

cylinder-2

3D cube (Outside)

The other interesting feature that Cylinder offers is the ability to stack animations, so you can configure a 3D cube (inside) animation with a Spin animation. If you plan to stack animations, then you need to select them carefully as some combinations of animations may not look good. You can configure the tweak via the Settings app.

Check out the demo video of the jailbreak tweak in action:

Cylinder is currently in beta, and available for free. You need to add the http://r333d.com/repo to install the tweak. It is compatible with iOS 7, and also compatible with Barrel.

You can also add your own effects to Cylinder. The effects are coded in Lua, a simple scripting language. To add your own script, copy the .hua scripts to /Library/Cylinder/ using scp/WinSCP/iFile/iFunBox/whatever.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Jailbreak Tweak Roundup: vColor, LockToCell, SpotiSearch, AutoPause, IconLock7

Here we have 5 new tweaks that have recently hit Cydia. Whether you’re trying to customize color of the volume HUD or looking for an easier way to search through Spotify, we have your solution right here.

vColor – Free

First tweak we have up is vColor.  If you haven’t already changed up your volume HUD by installing a tweak like “StatusHUD” then you may want to customize the color to match the theme and vColor does just that. Change the background, volume bar, and text color to the color you wish.

LockToCell – Free

Usually when your swiping through your app switcher, you’ll notice the the icons don’t stay directly under their respective app cards. If this is something that bothers you then you need to check out LockToCell, because that’s exactly what it does.

SpotiSearch – $0.99

If you use Spotify on a regular basis then SpotiSearch is going to make your life a bit easier. Rather than having to go into the Spotify app in order to search, you can pull down the Spotlight and search Spotify directly with this tweak.

AutoPause – Free

This is a tweak that was requested on reddit by someone who would quietly listen to music at work and when his boss would come by, he would turn the volume all the way down. By the time his boss left, he had missed a lot of the song.  So a developer came through and created AutoPause, which automatically pauses your music if you turn the volume all the way down using the physical buttons (including headphones). Once you turn it back up, it automatically begins to play.

IconLock7 – Free

Nothing more frustrating then someone getting ahold of your phone and moving around the icons or deleting apps that you don’t want to be deleted. IconLock7 is going to prevent that from happening.  Now, if order to even get into wiggle mode, you will need to enter a password. The first time you try to get into wiggle mode after installing, you will be prompted to enter a password.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel!

Let us know what you think about the tweaks in the comments below!

p0sixspwn Untether Jailbreak Cydia package for iOS 6.1.6 released

p0sixspwn

iH8sn0w, winocm, and SquiffyPwn have released an updated version of p0sixspwn package for iOS 6.1.6 on Cydia.

Apple has released iOS 6.1.6 for iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G to fix the critical SSL bug dubbed “Gotofail” in the security community.

They haven’t updated p0sixspwn, the standalone jailbreak tool, so you will first need to perform a tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w, and then install the latest version of the p0sixspwn package v1.4-1 from Cydia to convert the tethered jailbreak to an untethered jailbreak.

Here are the steps:

  • Use Redsn0w to perform a tethered jailbreak on your iOS device running on iOS 6.1.6. If you need help check out our step-by-step guide.
  • After your device is successfully jailbroken, launch Cydia and install p0sixspwn 1.4 package to convert the tethered jailbreak to an untethered jailbreak.

iH8sn0w has said that updating the standalone p0sixspwn jailbreak tool is not a priority so currently this is the only way to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS or iPod touch 4G running iOS 6.1.6.

As always, let me know how it goes in the comments.

Badger lets you preview notifications from your iPhone’s Home screen

Badger, a jailbreak tweak released a few days ago, lets you view a list of unread notifications by simply swiping an app’s icon while you’re on the home screen. Its core functionality, including the activation method and the basic interface is very similar to Velox, another jailbreak tweak we’ve covered earlier.

When you activate Badger using the activation method — by default a swipe-up on an app icon — it shows you a popup with a list of all your unread notifications. These notifications can be dismissed by a simple horizontal swipe, or can be tapped on to take further action. For the Messages.app, there’s also an option to quickly reply to incoming messages. If a notification in the popup exceeds viewing limits, you can tap on it to initiate the scroller, though ideally we’d have wanted the font size to be smaller.

The tweak is compatible with Abstergo, can be fully themed, and works with devices running iOS 5 and up.

Although we pointed out the similarity between Badger and Velox, the developer notes that the two tweaks “are not competitors” and “are designed to perform different functions and get along nicely.”

Badger is available on Cydia for $0.99. Let us know what you think of the tweak in the comments below. Which one do you prefer, Badger or Velox?

Background Manager: Jailbreak tweak brings true multitasking to iOS 6

When Apple introduced the multitasking feature in iOS 4, it enabled multitasking support only for certain types of apps due to concerns over the adverse impact it could have on battery life.

So if you wanted true multitasking on your iOS device, you had to jailbreak your device to install Backgrounder. It gave you the control to decide when an app should keep running and when it should quit.

Unfortunately, Backgrounder is currently not compatible with iOS 6.x and based on the message on Cydia, it seems highly unlikely it will be updated with iOS 6.x support in the near future.

But a new jailbreak called Background Manager aims to fill the void, it promises to finally bring the backgrounder functionality to iOS 6.x.

The jailbreak tweak allows you to enable backgrounding or true multitasking across all apps or enable it for an app via the Settings app.

You have the option to select between three background modes: None, Background and Native. By default the background mode is set to Native. If you change it to Background to enable multitasking or to allow the app to run the background as if it was running in the foreground. When you select Background, it also offers toggles to enable disable Fallback to Native and Force Native mode. Unfortunately, due to lack of any documentation, I couldn’t figure out what it meant. They are enabled by default so I left them as it is.

bm

If you want to enable backgrounding at an app level then launch the Settings app and navigate to Background Manager -> Each app -> tap on Add Item and select the app from the list. After selecting the app, tap on it and then select the Background mode. The app also allows you to launch an app when you boot your iPhone and relaunch the app if it exited for any particular reason.

I tested the tweak by enabling the Background mode with the Dropbox app and it seems to work as advertised and uploaded a large file in the background without interruption. It also worked well with Cydia, so it doesn’t load the package list every time you launch the app and you don’t see the Loading… splash screen.

bm2

It is recommended that you enable backgrounding at an app level rather than across all apps to avoid adversely impacting battery life.

Here’s the demo video of the tweak in the action below:

Background Manager is available on Cydia for $0.99. You can download it using this direct link (link works only on jailbroken device) from Cydia.

Please note that that backgrounding is disabled by default, so you need to enable it for the tweak to work after installing it.

Let us know what has been your experience with the tweak in the comments. Does it work as you expected?

MiniPlayer 2.2 adds seek bar and search feature to the awesome music widget

Couple of weeks back, developer @ManzoPower & designer @Surenix had released MiniPlayer with an all-new design inspired by iTunes 11 mini player.

The developers have just released an update, which makes the awesome music widget for the jailbroken iOS device even better.

Here’s a recap before I go into the details of the new features:

The custom widget displays the album art and the info of the song currently playing. When you tap on the widget, it will provide playback controls, which will allow you to play/pause, fast forward and rewind a song.

You can hide the custom widget either by swiping it away to the right or left of the screen. Similarly, you can access it by tapping on the grabber. You can also change the position of the widget by using the tap, hold and drag gesture.

The developers have now added the scrubber/seek bar and a search feature in MiniPlayer 2.2, which I was hoping for and had briefly mentioned in the post.

The scrubber bar allows you to skip to any point in a song, whereas you can search for songs in your Music library directly from the custom widget.

miniplayer0

The new seek bar in MiniPlayer 2.2

miniplayer3

The new search feature

Those were the two missing features from iTunes mini player, so it is great to see the developers have added the features.

MiniPlayer is available for $2.0 on Cydia. If you had purchased PowerMusic MiniPlayer then you can upgrade to MiniPlayer 2.x for just $1.0.

If you listen to music on your iOS device, then this is a must-have jailbreak tweak. If they could figure out a way to bring iTunes 11′s “Up Next” functionality then it would be even more awesome, though I think it is too much to ask as the “Up Next” feature isn’t available even in the Music app.

Let us know what you think of the tweak in the comments.

PairLock is a jailbreak tweak that makes your iPhone more secure

Well-known iOS forensics expert, Jonathan Zdziarski, has released a tweak on Cydia by the name of PairLock that makes the iPhone more secure when connecting it to untrusted devices via a cable, especially if you don’t use a passcode.

Over at his blog Zdziarski details the procedure by which your iPhone establishes a trusted connection with a device for the first time:

Any time you plug your iOS device into another computer, this trusted pairing relationship gets automatically created within seconds. The only time this doesn’t occur is if the device is locked with a PIN – and I mean really locked; if you have anything other than “Require Passcode: Immediately” set, then it will remain unlocked for a while even after you shut off the screen.

[...]

Once a device is paired, [address book, notes, photos, music collection, sms database] and more can be accessed wirelessly at any time, regardless of whether you have WiFi sync turned on. A pairing lasts for the life of the file system: that is, once your iPhone or iPad is paired with another machine, that pairing relationship lasts until you restore the phone to a factory state.

While this behaviour is fine when you connect your iOS device to your own work or home machine, it’s very dangerous when connecting to unknown devices where your personal data might be exposed to third-parties. As an example, Zdziarski cites a “Juice-Jacking” demo given at DefCon, a hacking conference, where a public charging station actually initiated pairing with an iOS device, and copied all personal data from it.

iOS doesn’t let you disable this behaviour, which is why Zdziarski made PairLock that lets you lock or unlock pairing. If you travel often, and plug your iPhone into untrusted charging stations or computers, then you should definitely install PairLock. It is available on Cydia for $1.99.

Volume Amplifier boosts your iPhone’s volume all the way upto 200%

A new tweak on Cydia called Volume Amplifier boosts the iPhone speaker’s volume by 200 percent, which can come in handy when talking to someone on the phone and the voice on the opposite end isn’t audible.

Volume Amplifier directly manipulates the audio stream rather than messing around with system config files, and hence works similarly with the earpiece, the speaker as well as headphones. Strangely, the tweak is only compatible with the iPhone 5 and works only with phone calls.

While you’re on a call you can simply use the the volume up/down buttons like you normally would, except that you’ll notice a new overlay and that the volume goes beyond 100 percent.

Here’s a video demo:

The tweak is available on Cydia for $1.99 and only supports the iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0 and up.

(Just a warning, tweaks that artificially increase the sound of any speaker may damage it, so be sure to not overuse this.)

AltKeyboard: Upcoming tweak to let you type alternate characters by swiping up on keys

altkeyboard

AltKeyboard is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that will let users type alternate characters on the keyboard by swiping up on the keys so you don’t have to keep switching between keyboards to enter numbers, and some punctuations and symbols on your iPhone.

The jailbreak tweak is being developed by Newar (@Sentry_NC) and Alan (@tweakcc) of the Auxo fame.

It seems like another cool tweak by the Auxo developers and kind-of reminds me of the Blackberry 10 keyboard/Octopus Keyboard tweak (though in case of the BlackBerry 10 Keyboard it allows you to select suggested words by swipin up on top of the keys).

There is no firm release date, but the developers have indicated that it will be available on Cydia anytime soon. We’ll let you know as soon as it is available on Cydia.

Let us know what you think in the comments.

LockToggle gives you quick access to System toggles from lock screen

locktoggle

LockToggle is a new jailbreak tweak, which as the name suggests adds System toggles to the Lock screen, so you can enable or disable them without unlocking your device.

While we’ve seen a number of tweaks that offer this functionality, I really liked the look of the toggle icons and the way it integrates with the lock screen.

It adds four toggles on the lock screen and you can swipe from left to right to access two more pages of toggles.   There are page indicator dots that tell you if there are more toggles on the next page. But I noticed that it doesn’t update the page indicator when you’re on the last (third) page.

To enable or disable the toggle, you need to double tap on the toggle. You have toggles for brightness, volume, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode, Do not disturb etc. In case of toggles like Volume and Brightness

Unfortunately, it does not grey out the toggles that are disabled like NCSettings, so you can’t figure out if the toggle is enabled or disabled.

LockToggle is available for free on Cydia. You can click on the download link below to install it from Cydia.

Please note that you may have to go disable and re-enable LockToggle via the Settings app to enable the toggles on the lock screen.

As always, let us know what you think of the tweak in the comments.

AltKeyboard brings a cool new way to type alternate characters

altkeyboard-1

Yesterday, we told you about AltKeyboard, a jailbreak tweak that was to bring a cool new way to type alternate characters on iPhone’s virtual keyboard.

The good news is AltKeyboard is now available on Cydia.

After installing the jailbreak tweak it displays the alternative characters on top of the alphabetic characters. To type the alternate characters, all you need to do is flick up on the key. This saves you the trouble of tapping on the 123 key to type the alternate character.

When you tap on a key, the letter appears above your thumb or finger, which is replaced with the alternative character when you flick up.

It works very well, however it will take you sometime to get used to it.

You can also choose to flick up or slide up on the key to type the alternate character via the Settings app. The settings is not too obvious as you need to tap on Flick up or Slide up to switch between the two modes. I found the default setting of flicking up on the key to type the alternate character a lot more easier to use.

altkeyboard-2

The jailbreak tweak has been developed by Sentry of the Auxo fame and Alan Kip, who has brought us tweaks like BrowseInApp and Tap To Widgets.

AltKeyboard is available on Cydia for $0.99. You can purchase and install the tweak by tapping on the download link.

As always, let us know what you think in the comments.

Auxo for iPad will be released on June 6

We’ve an update for Auxo fans who have been eagerly waiting for the jailbreak tweak to be released for the iPad.

Back in April, A3tweaks, developers of Auxo – the awesome replacement for the iOS app switcher and one of the most popular jailbreak tweaks for the iPhone had announced that Auxo for iPad would be released in May. Unfortunately, you will have to wait a little longer.

They’ve just updated their website to announce that Auxo for iPad will be released on June 6th. They’ve also given us a sneak peak of what it will look like on the iPad:

auxo-ipad

Auxo replaces the app icons in the app switcher with a card-like screenshot of the current state of the app. The app cards makes it easier to identify the app you want to launch from the app switcher.

It allows you to remove apps from the app switcher by swiping down on the app and kill multiple apps by using multiple fingers.

The developers have also re-imagined the music playback controls page in the app switcher with improved music playback controls, a full-sized album artwork and more details about the song that’s now playing.

It also gives you quick access to frequently used Settings toggles like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, orientation lock, Airplane mode etc.

Auxo is one of my favorites tweaks on the iPhone, so I can’t wait to check out Auxo on the iPad. As always, we’ll let you know as soon as it is available on Cydia, so don’t forget to join our Facebook Fan page or follow us on Twitter or add us on Google+ or subscribe to our RSS feed.

Virtual Home: First Touch ID Jailbreak Tweak now available on Cydia

virtual-home

Worried about the wear and tear of your iPhone 5s’ Home button? Virtual Home, the first jailbreak tweak that makes use of Touch ID should address that concern.

The jailbreak tweak makes use of the Touch ID fingerprint sensor as the Home button.

So after installing the jailbreak tweak, placing your finger on the Home button/Touch ID when you’re on the Home screen will open the app switcher, so you don’t have to double click on the Home button to access it.

Similarly, if you’re using an app, then a tap on the Home button will take you to the Home screen, so you don’t have to click the Home button.

If your iPhone is locked, the tweak saves you the trouble of tapping on the Home or Sleep/Wake button to wake it up, and directly takes you to the Home screen.

Other Home button/Touch ID related features such as accessing Siri and using Touch ID to make purchases in the App Store and iTunes Store. Though you need to press and hold on the Home button pretty fast to prevent the tweak from considering it as a Home button click.

You don’t need to use the finger registered for Touch ID for this to work, the functionality works with any finger (except the one to unlock the device).

You can check out the video walkthrough of the jailbreak tweak in action below:

Virtual Home developed by moeseth is available for free on Cydia. It’s a pretty cool jailbreak tweak, as I find tapping on the Home or Sleep/Wake button and then using Touch ID to unlock the device is quite annoying. The initial version of the tweak is quite glitchy, as it just stops working sometimes for no reason, and at times Touch ID doesn’t work to unlock the device, thus forcing you to enter the passcode [Update: The tweak seems to break when you download a new app from the App Store].

If you’re an iPhone 5s user, then I would love to know what you think of the tweak in the comments below.

CCControls: An Awesome Jailbreak Tweak to Customize Control Center Toggles

Few days back we covered FlipControlCenter, a cool jailbreak tweak by Ryan Petrich that allows you to customize Control Center toggles.

CCControls is a new jailbreak tweak that takes things to a whole new level.

The jailbreak tweak not only allows you to add more toggles to Control Center and change their position, but it also lets you change the look and feel of the toggles by applying themes.

You can choose from a wide range of themes for the toggles such as the default iOS 7 theme in either blue, green & red or black & white colored outline. Alternatively, you can opt for toggles with solid colors as you can see below.

If you don’t like the circular toggles then you can change them to square with colored outline or solid colors, or square with a line at the bottom as you can see below.

Here’s a look at the Control Center with customized toggles:

The thing that really sets this jailbreak tweak apart from rest of the iOS 7 jailbreak tweaks we’ve seen so far is its Settings page, which is very well designed, and makes Apple’s Settings panel for native apps look bland.

cccontrols-3

In addition to the ability to change the look and feel of the Control Center toggles, it offers the same features as FlipControlCenter. So it gives you quick access to the following new settings and features in addition to default ones in Control Center:

  • Settings (Quick access to the Settings app)
  • Respring
  • Auto Lock
  • VPN
  • Vibration
  • Hotspot
  • Location Services
  • Flashlight
  • 3G
  • Ringer

You can rearrange the position of these toggles using the tap, hold and drag gesture. You can also disable a toggle by dragging it under the disabled section.

You also have an option to hide toggles when you access Control Center from the lock screen via Settings app (Settings > CCControls > Lock Screen Restrictions).

It also allows you to configure how many toggles switches you want to access per page. So you can increase it to 6 or decrease it to just 2 switches per page or make it unpaged, instead of 5 toggles.

Here’s a video walkthrough of the jailbreak tweak:

CCControls developed by Dany Lisiansky is available for free on Cydia. Please note that the tweak doesn’t support 64-bit A7 chip, so it won’t work on iPhone 5s, iPad Air or Retina iPad mini. It’s easily one of my favorite jailbreak tweaks for iOS 7 so far, and can’t wait to use it on my iPhone 5s.

As always, let me know what you think in the comments below.

Swipey: A cool Lock Screen App Launcher for iOS 7 [Jailbreak Tweak]

swipey-cydia

Swipey, thelock screen app launcher for jailbroken devices, which we had covered few days back is now available on Cydia.

The tweak has been developed by Tyler J. Nettleton, developer of Atom, a popular lock screen launcher for iOS 6.

The jailbreak tweak lets you access up to 6 of your favorite apps from the lock screen by simply swiping to the right or swiping from the right edge of the screen. You can configure the apps via the Settings app (Settings > Swipey).

The transition when you swipe between apps on the lock screen is very nicely done.

You can checkout the video walkthrough of the tweak below to get a better idea of how the tweak works:

Swipey is available on Cydia for $1.99. It is compatible with iOS 7 and A7 devices, and supports iPad as well.

Let me know what you think of the jailbreak tweak in the comments below.

Infinidock, Infiniboard and Infinifolders 2.1 update adds support for iOS 7 and iPhone 5s

infinidock

Grant Paul aka @chpwn has released a new version of his popular jailbreak tweaks – Infinidock, Infinifolders, Infiniboard to add support for iOS 7 and iPhone 5s.

In case you’re not aware of these jailbreak tweaks, here’s a brief description of the tweaks:

Infinidock ($0.99) allows you to add unlimited number of apps to the iPhone dock. It offers the following features:

  • Add as many icons as you want to your dock and scroll back and forth.
  • Set how many icons per page.
  • Give your dock pages!

Here’s a video walkthrough of Infinidock on iOS 7:

Infiniboard ($0.99) allows you to scroll vertically through the apps on your Home screen. It offers the following features:

  • Add unlimited icons to each page, scroll them up and down.
  • Vertical paging, like a vertical home screen on every page.
  • Preserves your icon layouts, even across full iTunes restores.
  • Many settings for full customization.

Here’s a video walkthrough of Infiniboard on iOS 7:

Infinifolders ($1.99) allows you to add an infinite number of apps to a folder. The tweak was one of the popular jailbreak tweaks, but is not as useful on iOS 7, as it already allows you to add unlimited number of apps to a folder, but I like the ability to scroll vertically through the apps in the folder. It offers the following features:

  • Add as many icons as you want to every folder: there’s no limit.
  • Quickly scroll to see your icons.
  • Preserves your icon layouts, even across full iTunes restores.
  • Lots of settings for full customization.

Here’s a video walkthrough of Infinifolders on iOS 7:

If you had purchased these jailbreak tweaks before, then you can download the updates for free.

Let me know how it goes in the comments below.

Upcoming iOS 7 Jailbreak Tweak will bring Native-looking Quick Launch App Shortcuts to Control Center

controlcenter-tweak

UI Designer Sentry and Cydia developer Jack Willis, are working on a jailbreak tweak that will bring native looking quick launch app shortcuts to Control Center.

The duo had developed jailbreak tweaks such as Auxo, an extremely popular replacement for the iOS app switcher in iOS 6.

We’ve seen quite a few jailbreak tweaks such as that allow you to customize the quick launch shortcuts in Control Center, but they hope to stand out by designing app icons that look native as you can see in the mockups (above and below).

evoau5Y

Since it is wouldn’t be possible to design app icons for all the apps available in the App Store, they have shortlisted 50+ popular apps, and are requesting redditors to give their inputs. Users will still be allowed to select any app from the list of apps installed on their iOS device, but they don’t want the icons to look out of place so they’re designing app icons for the most popular apps,

If you like the native look, please do head over to this reddit thread and let them know if your favorite app is missing from their list.

NoSlowAnimations makes iOS 7 snappier by speeding up animations [Jailbreak Tweak]

noslowanimations

After some users complained about nausea and headaches due to the zoom in animations in iOS 7, Apple enhanced the Reduce Motion setting to minimize both motion and animation in iOS 7.0.3.

So if you enable the settings, iOS replaces the zooming animation with a cross fade animation, which makes iOS 7 feel a lot snappier.

If you want iOS to be even more snappier then install the new jailbreak tweak aptly called NoSlowAnimations. The tweak doesn’t offer any configuration options. But for the best results it is recommended to enable the Reduce Motion settings (Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion).

Check out the video of the jailbreak tweak in action to get a better idea:

NoSlowAnimations developed by Marco Singhof is available for free on Cydia. It’s a nifty little tweak if you don’t like iOS 7 animations.

Let me know what you think of the tweak in the comments below.
