Ryan Petrich announces TweakWeek 2 for iOS 7 jailbreak tweaks

At JailbreakCon 2013, Ryan Petrich, developer of popular jailbreak tweaks like ProSwitcher, DeepEnd, announced the second edition of TweakWeek, where developers release a free, open source jailbreak tweak each day for a whole week.

Nine developers participated in the last edition of TweakWeek, collectively releasing 60 tweaks over a period of two months. Notable tweaks from TweakWeek 1 include chpwn’s FaceForward, SMSHideKeyboard, PrivateSMS and more.

TweakWeek 2 already has more than 20 tweak developers on board including Filippo Bigarella, Adam Bell, Jack Willis and, of course, Petrich himself. With 20 developers, and possibly even more, TweakWeek will last for at least 5 months.

Before you get excited, note that TweakWeek will commence only after an iOS 7 jailbreak is released, which is actually a good thing since there’ll be much more to explore and customise in iOS 7 than iOS 6. Petrich had earlier shared a screenshot showing an iPod touch running iOS 7 that was jailbroken, though it was likely using an old developer account based exploit.

If you’re a tweak developer who’s interested in participating in TweakWeek 2, contact Ryan Petrich.
