While we eagerly wait for the iOS 7 jailbreak and untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/iOS 6.1.4, Ryan Petrich, developer of popular jailbreak tweaks such as Activator, has given us a glimpse of what his popular video multitasking jailbreak app VideoPane will look like in iOS 7.
In case you missed it, back in August, Petrich had released VideoPane, an awesome jailbreak app that allowed you to detach a video from most video players, thus allowing you multitask while watching a video.
It was impressive as Petrich had released the jailbreak app even before YouTube added the in-app multitasking feature.
If you’re wondering how Petrich managed to jailbreak iOS 7, then the conversation between him and @coolstarorg (developer of Semi-Restore) and the fact that it’s a screenshot from an iPhone 4 should give you some clues:

@rpetrich easy. Use SSH Ramdisk to load the filesystem modifications and run opensn0w to tetherboot the iPhone 4.

@coolstarorg indeed. that’s what I’m now using instead of my earlier hackish solution

It is possible to tether jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 7 using opens0w, but the process is quite complicated. You can check out this post in our Forums to find out more details on how to jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 7.
If you’re wondering what’s the status on the iOS 7 jailbreak then there hasn’t been any updates from the evad3rs team worth reporting since our last status update, except from a tweet from pimskeks couple of days back, where he said they’re still working on the iOS 7 jailbreak, and to be patient.
And yes we (@evad3rs) are still working on the iOS7 JB. Just be patient.

It is also important to point out that we continue to see websites (some even trying to spam in our comments section) claiming that they’ve a jailbreak for iOS 7 (iOS 7.0.3, iOS 7.0.2, iOS 7.0.1), please avoid such sites, they are fake and just a scam. If and when a jailbreak is released, we’ll let you as soon as there are any further updates, so stay tuned here at iPhone Hacks or join our Facebook Fan page, follow us on Twitter, add us to your circles on Google+ or subscribe to our RSS feed.
