Yesterday, Apple acknowledged the iOS 6.1 passcode security flaw and said that the issue will be fixed in a future software update.
It looks like that update could be coming early next week, according to German blog iFun.
iFun reports that Apple will release iOS 6.1.2 sometime before Thursday, February 21 based on checks with carriers, which will include a fix for the iOS 6.1 passcode security flaw and the Microsoft Exchange bug.
The website also claims that Apple will release iOS 6.1.3, which will include the improvements to Maps app for Japan, which was the only major feature in iOS 6.1.1 beta that was seeded to developers earlier in the month.
iFun has predicted the release of iOS 6.1.1 through the same sources. Apple released iOS 6.1.1 earlier in the week to fix 3G connectivity related issue that was affecting iPhone 4S users.
As I’ve mentioned earlier, a new iOS software update is not ideal for jailbreakers. Let’s hope that Apple only fixes this exchange bug and the passcode security flaw and not the evasi0n jailbreak.
