iOS in the Car is an upcoming iOS feature, which lets you access your Maps, messages, and other services on your car’s touchscreen console, so that you won’t have to take your eyes off the wheel.
While we had gotten sneak peaks at some of the functionalities of iOS in the Car through hidden settings, developer Steven Troughton-Smith today managed to actually run the system, and posted its screenshots.

Apple seems to have significantly tweaked the look of iOS in the Car, as the screenshots above are different from preview images of iOS in the Car from Apple’s website:
According to previous reports, an iOS device will use the car’s touchscreen system wirelessly via AirPlay, or over USB.
iOS in the Car will reportedly be fully available with iOS 7.1, and new cars from Honda, Mercedes, Nissan, Ferrari etc. are expected to support the feature by this year. Tim Cook had said that the feature will be an important part of Apple’s ecosystem.
