Apple released iOS 7.0.5 earlier today to correct networking provisioning for some iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models sold in China.

If you got the update and accidentally updated to it, then the good news is that iOS 7.0.5 can still be jailbroken using evasi0n7.

Security researcher, i0nic has just tweeted a screenshot of Cydia running on his iPhone 5s running iOS 7.0.5, and has confirmed that evasi0n7 still works with iOS 7.0.5.

This means that Apple hasn’t fixed the exploits used by evasi0n7 in iOS 7.0.5, which is not surprising as it is just a minor update. Please note that the current version of evasi0n7 won’t work as it supports up to iOS 7.0.4, however evad3rs will be able to add support for iOS 7.0.5 with a small change.

There are quite a few unofficial versions of evasi0n7 that allow you jailbreak iOS 7.0.5, however we would recommend waiting for evasi0n7 team to release the official version.

As always, we’ll let you know when the evasi0n7 for iOS 7.0.5 is released, so stay tuned here at iPhone Hacks or join our Facebook Fan pagefollow us on Twitteradd us to your circles on Google+ or subscribe to our RSS feed.
