We’ve some more good news of the jailbreaking front. MuscleNerd has just confirmed on Twitter that the untethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak will support all iOS 6.1 compatible devices, except for Apple TV 3 and possibly even Apple TV 2.
Earlier, we had reported that pod2g now a member of the new Evad3rs dev team had confirmed that they had a jailbreak for iOS 6.1 and were waiting for Apple to release iOS 6.1.
MuscleNerd confirmed it while responding to one of his followers:
@unicornhacker yes, every other 6.1 device variation will be supported. All TWENTY-TWO of them (omg!). Plus atv2 if it’s out in time.

He has also clarified that it may not support Apple TV 3, but it may support Apple TV 2 if Apple releases the iOS firmware update for it in time:
@arovik not necessarily.Although atv3 uses far fewer services that can be tampered with, it’s not isolated. But it can’t use this next JB
— MuscleNerd (@MuscleNerd) January 28, 2013
@arovik nope, sorry. In fact unless Apple pushes a final atv2 in time, it may not apply there either (*very* likely they will though)

This means that the following iOS devices will be supported:
- iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS
- iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini
- iPod touch 5G, iPod Touch 4G
It doesn’t mean there won’t be a jailbreak for Apple TV 3. MuscleNerd has indicated that they’re areas, which could be useful in hacking Apple TV 3:
@sigboe that’s a valid area to be looking for atv3.And it certainly uses WebKit too for iTunes Store, Hulu logins etc.More esoteric tho
— MuscleNerd (@MuscleNerd) January 28, 2013
@sigboe my gut feeling though is that the code behind Photo Stream is riddled with bugs that might be useful on atv3

While none of the members of the Evad3rs team have explicitly confirmed it, we believe that the jailbreak is an untethered jailbreak.
