After some users complained about nausea and headaches due to the zoom in animations in iOS 7, Apple enhanced the Reduce Motion setting to minimize both motion and animation in iOS 7.0.3.
So if you enable the settings, iOS replaces the zooming animation with a cross fade animation, which makes iOS 7 feel a lot snappier.
If you want iOS to be even more snappier then install the new jailbreak tweak aptly called NoSlowAnimations. The tweak doesn’t offer any configuration options. But for the best results it is recommended to enable the Reduce Motion settings (Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion).

NoSlowAnimations developed by Marco Singhof is available for free on Cydia. It’s a nifty little tweak if you don’t like iOS 7 animations.
