We continue to get more details about the untethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak from the evad3rs dev team.
planetbeing of the evad3rs dev team has confirmed that the untethered jailbreak will support iOS 6, iOS 6.0.1 and iOS 6.0.2.
So if your iOS device is on iOS 6, iOS 6.0.1 or iOS 6.0.2 and you don’t want to upgrade to iOS 6.1, then you will still be able to jailbreak your iOS device.
Yesterday, MuscleNerd and planetbeing had confirmed that the untethered jailbreak will support all iOS 6.1 compatible devices, except for Apple TV 3.
planetbeing has revealed on Twitter they have tested the entire jailbreak process in PoC command line program end-to-end.
Got to the point where we’ve tested the entire JB process in a PoC command-line program end-to-end. Now to work on polishing the process.

He has also clarified that the untethered jailbreak could be released in a week:
In terms of release date, we’re aiming for approximately a week out, but it’s possible it will come sooner or later than that.

After MuscleNerd’s tweet, it was widely expected that they will release the jailbreak on Sunday, however it’s important that they take as much time as they need to test the jailbreak before releasing it to the public.
So please be patient. Though we still hope Sunday is funday for old times sake.
