There have been rumors that Apple is working on a larger iPad.

Chinese website United Daily News (via MacRumors) reports that Apple is working with Quanta Computer on the rumored larger iPad.

The report however notes that Apple is working on a 12-inch iPad with Quanta, where as previous reports have indicated that it could come with a screen measuring slightly less than 13-inches diagonally.

The larger iPad rumors gained credibility when Wall Street Journal, an incredibly trustworthy publication also confirmed that Apple was working on it. Rumors have claimed that Apple could launch such a device early next year.

It is important to note that a company like Apple would probably be testing devices with all sorts of screen sizes, it doesn’t really mean that the designs will make their way to the market.

Quanta Computers, which produces Apple’s MacBook Airs, also seems like a surprising choice to be working on the larger iPad, as iPads are currently produced by Foxconn and Pegatron. The report however notes that Quanta is looking to diversify.

iPad mini is still my preferred device at home, so I am not sure I want a larger iPad. What do you think? Do you want an iPad with a 13-inch display?
