iOS 6.1.3/iOS 6.1.4 Untethered Jailbreak Progress Update

sn0wbreeze

If you’re waiting for the iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 6.1.4 jailbreak then we’ve an update for you.

iH8sn0w, developer of jailbreak tools such as Sn0wbreeze who had confirmed that a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 was indeed in the works, tweeted that he needed volunteers who had an iPad mini and iPad 4 running iOS 6.1.3.

He later told Cammy of iDesignTimes that he wanted the kernel dumps of those devices so he can add support for them.

According to @iH8sn0w, the next step then would be to “add static offsets to kernel payload, then untethered binary is pretty much set for all devices.” To that he added this, “So far we got all A4 devices, iPhone 4,1, iPhone 5,1 and iPhone 5,2 I think.”

This means that the untethered binary is ready for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s and iPhone 5. It is currently possible to only tethered jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G running iOS 6.1.3.

iH8sn0w did not provide an ETA on when the untethered iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 jailbreak will be released.

It certainly looks like we’re getting closer to the release of untethered iOS 6.1.3/iOS 6.1.4 jailbreak. Meanwhile, evad3rs team is working on a jailbreak for iOS 7.
