Apple rumors run the gamut — they are either very believable like the fingerprint sensor or they are outlandish like the never ending Apple HDTV. Today, we have another rumor that leans towards the incredulous side with a report that says Apple is testing a 12.9-inch iPad with 4K display.
The report comes from Padnews, which claims Apple is testing a 12.9-inch iPad with a 4K display. The machine translated Chinese is a challenge to comprehend, but the blog says its sources told them that one of Apple’s 2014 iPad models could rock a 12.9-inch screen. There are prototypes with a 2K resolution display in testing, but a 4K could be coming down the pike, possibly as early as October of next year. It’s a word of mouth rumor, that Padnews admits that some people will think is “nonsense.”
