We’ve some more good news on the jailbreaking front.
Hacker winocm who had successfully jailbroken iOS 6.1.3, has just confirmed that he has managed to successfully jailbreak iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4.
As you can see below, he has shared two screenshots that shows Cydia running on iPhone 5 on iOS 6.1.4. If you look carefully, you’ll notice that both the AT&T iPhone 5 (GSM) and Verizon iPhone 5 (CDMA) running iOS 6.1.4 have been successfully jailbroken.

We’re assuming that the jailbreak will work on other iOS devices that are compatible with iOS 6.1.3 and iOS 6.1.4.
winocm hasn’t mentioned when he plans to release the jailbreak yet. But it looks like after waiting for several months, users who are on iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 6.1.4 will soon be able to jailbreak their device.
It’s great to see someone other than folks from the evad3rs dev team managing to jailbreak iOS.

Since iOS 7 will be released in couple of weeks, do you plan to upgrade to iOS 7, or will you wait for an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/iOS 6.1.4?
